The Latifa Hospital specializes in obstetrics, gynecology and pediatric. Its emergency department provides 24 hour care seven days a week. It cares for children around age 12 with medical, surgical and non-trauma scenarios, and women with serious problems concerning pregnancy and gynecology. It’s the only hospital to cope with emergency pregnancies and has a special unit for sick and premature neonates. Expat residents admitted in an emergency without a health card are billed Dhs.250 per day plus any medication expenses.
